A Calm, Curated Airbnb in Goa

Apartment

Designing an Airbnb in Goa comes with its own set of challenges: tight timelines, clear budgets, and the need to create a space that looks good, works well, and holds up to regular guest use. This 2BHK holiday home in Candolim was no different.
The client was setting up a rental property and needed a quick turnaround. With limited time and budget, I leaned into curation as the design approach. Choosing well-made, ready-to-use pieces meant we could move quickly without compromising on the look or feel of the space. One of our first selections was wallpaper. It may have seemed like a small detail, but it gave me a clear glimpse into her style. She was drawn to a soft mint green, and that became the core of the design. We used the colour throughout the house, in upholstery, accessories, and wall accents, to create a sense of flow and connection between the rooms.

Instead of custom furniture, we sourced everything off-the-shelf and styled it carefully. From beds and sofas to artwork and lighting, each item was chosen to reflect the relaxed, welcoming vibe of a Goan holiday home, while staying within budget.
This project is a good example of how budget interior design for an Airbnb can still feel warm, cohesive, and thoughtfully put together. With the right colour cues and a curated approach, even a fast-track project can feel like home.
