NRI Interior Design Project in Bangalore: Built Without a Single Site Visit from the Client

NVT Stopping By the Woods

Location: NVT Stopping by the Woods

Bangalore Project Type: Turnkey Home Interiors

Challenge: 100% remote turnkey interior design for NRIs

This family lives in the US right now. They're planning to move back to India soon. But their new Bangalore 4bhk villa needed to work immediately as a rental, and later as their actual home. Two very different lives in one space.

We split the project into two phases. Phase 1 was all the messy stuff. Civil work, built-in wardrobes, kitchen, bathrooms. Everything that creates dust and needs workers on site. We also built out a workspace in the backyard. Renters won't need it, but when the family moves in, they won't have to deal with contractors tearing up their home. It'll just be ready. Phase 2 happens when they actually land. Beds, sofas, dining table and all loose furniture required for the house as per the design plan. They can get these built through us or we can help them source it. Either way, they move in and start living. No construction chaos.

This was a 100% remote project. No site visits. No touching materials in person. That makes people nervous, and honestly, material selection is the hardest part when you can't feel textures or see colours in real light. But we kept communication open, had lots of video calls, and worked through iterations until we landed on choices they loved. When they're ready to come home, they can walk into their home, waiting for them.
