Luxury and Practicality: A Senior-Friendly Home Design
Apartment
Ravi and Shubha wanted a home that would not only be luxurious but also practical and filled with cherished memories. Their residence is part of a high-end senior citizen community, designed for comfortable and assisted living. Instead of a single apartment, they chose to combine two 2BHK units into one expansive home, ensuring ample space for their needs and visiting family members.
Over the years, Ravi and Shubha had collected numerous artifacts and pieces of furniture that held deep sentimental value. Rather than replacing them, we designed the interiors to seamlessly integrate these treasured items into the new space. Special attention was given to keeping designated open areas for their existing furniture, allowing the home to come together harmoniously with both old and new elements.
Senior-Friendly Design
Understanding the unique needs of senior residents, we focused on:
Ease of Movement: Spacious layouts with minimal obstructions to ensure a smooth flow.
Safety First: Rounded edges and low-maintenance finishes to prevent injuries and reduce upkeep efforts.
Comfort & Functionality: A clutter-free design with practical storage solutions to keep daily essentials within reach.
Budget-Conscious Approach
A crucial aspect of this project was budgeting. Since senior residents typically rely on their savings, we tailored the design to match their financial comfort. Whether opting for a lavish setup or a more balanced approach, we ensured that every design choice was practical and well within their means.
