4BHK Villa Interior Design Bangalore: Modern Traditional Home

Aadarsh Sanctuary

This project for Poornima and Suresh was a deeply personal milestone for Inner Space. Having designed their first apartment back in 2014, we were thrilled when they asked us to create their new, primary residence, a 4BHK villa in Bangalore. The main goal was to design a home that felt open, grounded in traditional design, and not flashy while giving new life to cherished pieces. After 11 years, the challenge was to blend their evolved taste, which embraced modern furniture elements, with their deep-rooted love for traditional aesthetics. Our solution was a thoughtful balance: we took existing pieces, like their swing and bed, and refurbished and repolished them to fit the new setting, proving that great design is not about discarding, but about evolving what you already love.

This home is a powerful reflection of the client's passion, notably their extensive art collection, which includes Poornima’s own Tanjore paintings, resulting in over 70 wall pieces. The single hardest challenge was the creative task of blending all this art and framing it into a cohesive narrative - a true labor of love that took a full day to execute. Our material palette was focused on authenticity, using natural wood finishes, jute, cane, and brass elements, with color intentionally provided by the upholstery and the paintings themselves. From creating wardrobe doors with jute panels to achieve an antique look on a budget, to framing a custom marble feature to look like a painting, every detail speaks to our philosophy: building relationships that last, and crafting real, liveable homes that truly speak to your heart.
