Prestige City, Sarjapur: An Apartment Designed to Welcome Every Stay

Some homes are designed to be ready for more than one kind of stay. This 3BHK at Prestige City was planned to work for a short family visit and for a tenant, with the design edited to suit both.

All the fixed furniture was built as designed. The loose pieces, including the sofa, dining table, study tables, and wall decor, were left out. This keeps the living and dining areas open, so a tenant can bring their own furniture, or the family can bring theirs later without anyone having to work inside the home.

The kitchen was kept simple, with the builder’s tiles. It is a closed kitchen; it is meant for short use, and a rental kitchen can get messy. The master bedroom was kept closest to the full design, done to the owners’ taste.

The other two bedrooms carry a colour each: a blue wall in one, from a reference shared by the daughter, and grey with orange wallpaper in the other, the son’s favourite colour.

A good design can adapt as plans change, and this one was built to do exactly that.
